Local communities have faced the risk of natural disaster for decades or longer. While the international community has put a great deal of focus on this issue during the 15 years, much can be learned from the established practices of local communities and the innovative, local nonprofits that serve them.
During the past three years, Give2Asia and its partner international Institute for Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) have convened roughly 150 community-based organizations across six countries to help them learn from each other, understand best practices, and share their learning with our donor community.
